Hideout is all about introducing some much-needed balance into your relationship with technology.
Think of Hideout like our hunter-gatherer ancestors thought of caves: they were refuge from the chaos of the world, a place to store resources, find comfort, and in that comfort, clear space to better understand themselves and the world they inhabited. Their spectacular artwork is evidence of this. Now, 2.5 million years later, Hideout is your refuge, and its walls are your canvas.
These are the foundational and evolving beliefs Hideout is built on.
No frills, no surprises. The magic of Hideout is that it is what you make it.
Every time you notice something worth saving, add it to Hideout on your iPhone or Android device.
The building blocks of Hideout are entries and hideouts (hence the name).
Entries are any unit of media: text, images, links, videos, audio, files…
A hideout is just what it sounds like: a space where you can express freely without prying eyes. You can build as many as you want, and they are where you collect all your entries.
Give your hideout a title, and feel free to add some rooms.
Rooms are chat spaces where you can talk with the people you’ve let in to your hideout. They are the platform’s only social feature.
